1. Who we are

Traena ("we") operates traena.dk and the Traena app, and is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@traena.dk.

2. What we collect

On this website: if you join the waitlist, we store your email address solely to notify you when Traena launches.
Account data (app): email, name, date of birth (age verification), password (stored only as a secure hash), language preference.
Profile data (app): photos, bio, training goals or specialties, city, budget or rates, and (only if you allow it) your location coordinates.
Usage data (app): matches, messages, bookings, reviews, reports, and which coach profiles you view (used to improve matching).
Payment data: handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
Technical data: push notification tokens, error logs (via Sentry).

3. Why we process it (legal bases)

To provide the service you signed up for: matching, chat, bookings, payments (contract, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)); to keep the platform safe: abuse reports, rate limiting, account security (legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f)); to send marketing and launch notifications only if you opted in (consent, art. 6(1)(a)); and to meet legal obligations such as bookkeeping (art. 6(1)(c)).

4. Where your data lives

Data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL, hosted in the EU in Ireland) regardless of where you live. US users' data is protected to the same GDPR standard. The application runs on Railway. Payments are processed by Stripe, transactional email by Resend, error monitoring by Sentry (EU), and waitlist signups on this website are collected via Formspree (US). We share data with these processors only as needed to run the service, under data processing agreements.

5. How long we keep it

Waitlist emails are kept until you have been notified of launch or ask us to delete them. Account data is kept as long as your account is active; when you delete your account, access is revoked immediately and personal data is erased within 30 days, except where bookkeeping law requires longer retention of payment records.

6. Cookies

This site uses strictly necessary cookies only by default. Analytics and marketing cookies are only placed with your explicit consent. Manage them via Cookie Settings in the footer of the front page.

7. Your rights

You can access and export your data, correct it, delete it (in the app: Profile → Delete account), object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time by writing to hello@traena.dk. In the EU you can complain to Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk), the Danish supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you can exercise your rights under the CCPA/CPRA (access, deletion, and opting out of the sale of personal information; we do not sell personal information) by writing to hello@traena.dk.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, transport is encrypted (TLS), access to production systems is restricted, and we log security-relevant events. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will notify you and the authority as GDPR requires.

9. Children

Traena is for adults. We do not knowingly process data of anyone under 18.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app and on this site.
